Nanin started her musical journey by learning classical piano in her childhood and later on became interested in jazz piano. After high school, she was getting more interested in learning jazz piano, and started to take private lesson from Andi Wiriantono, a jazz pianist and a Berklee alumni. Since then she participated in several workshops and masterclasses from many jazz musicians such as Indra Lesmana, Florian Ross, Henning Sieverts, Masako Hamamura etc.
She has performed in hotels, cafes, tv shows, jazz communities, and Jazz Festivals around Indonesia. With the group, Zinnia (jazzy vocal group), she won “Best Keyboardist/Pianist” and “2nd runner up” band competition in 30th JGTC Jazz Competition, and performed in JakJazz 2007, Java Jazz Festival 2007 and 2008. In 2010 Zinnia recorded their original composition “One Night In Jakarta” for a compilation album “Komunitas Jazz Kemayoran”.
Her passion in music does not stop in performing. Her experience in working with Zinnia made her learn to do music and vocal arrangement. Since then, she became concerned in arranging and composing. Nanin had done several music and vocal arrangements for Jakarta International Community Choir, vocal groups, and a solo artist Fe’icha for her debut album.Her interest in arranging and creating music kept growing, that made her took Film Scoring class at Ponpin Music School in 2011, with Indra Perkasa as the mentor. Right now, beside performing and studying film scoring, she also teach piano at Music Républicain.
